Certified Metalworks CNC Machining
MULTI AXIS MACHINING FROM RAPID PROTOTYPE TO HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION
3  4 and 5 axis Milling     2 and 3 axis Turning

Machining directly from your solid model
Finished parts from billet, castings or forgings in virtually any material
Hard to source partsfor aging weapons systems to specification
High purity and hydraulic valve bodies

Our 4 axis CNC Horizontal Machining Center with 8 pallets makes it possible to switch between jobs without having to tear down and set up like on a vertical machine. The 4th axis allows at least 3 sides of a part to be machined in one clamping. Chips fall out of holes on a horizontal that would get packed in and cause problems on a vertical. At the end of a cycle the whole pallet switches out of the machine to a load station while the machine is running another pallet or job, no time is wasted.

The cylinder head forging images shown here show how after constructing an accurate solid model of the required forging and then
by removing from that solid the machining required to complete the part we then had an accurate model of the end result.

Next we designed and built the forging die, the image with the blue surface is the toolpath for the biggest ball mill that would fit the cavity.

The small lot of forgings produced were used to machine the parts shown that were delivered as completed assemblies with lee plugs, paint, anodize, dry lube, hardware, pressure testing and required process and material certifications.

While this is not an average machining job it does illustrate a core competence that applies to everything we make and why you can be
confident that your work will be performed in a manner that reflects well on you and your firm.

Put Our Flexible Manufacturing System to Work for You

If you have repeating runs of a machined parts, or entire assemblys then this is the process of choice for reducing lead times and lot size while increasing accuracy and consistency.

Free up some of the money wasted in inventory and in process production
Benefits include

:Faster, lower- cost changes from one part to another
:Lower direct labor cost Reduced inventory
:Consistent and better quality, due to the automated control
:Lower cost/unit of output
:Savings from indirect labor, from reduced errors, rework, repairs and   rejects

Typical milled parts have 6 sides 3 sides cut in op1and 3 sides to cut in op 2
This is how we minimize the largest expense and cause of errors in manufacturing, labor and handling. The entire work table 20" X 20" rotates precisely, we let the machine move the part to machine more sides
